Brunei
The indigenous people of Brunei consist of seven tribes. But to provide political unity, the government of the seven tribes as a whole will use the name Melayu or Malay for people within Brunei itself. It is actually divided into tribe. The people of Brunei are made up of the following tribes.

Malay Brunei
The Brunei Malays are the largest of the Brunei's seven tribes. The Malay people of Brunei. Some of them still settle in Sabah State. The Malay spoken language of Brunei has its own unique accent. Instead, standard Malay is used when communicating with people who do not understand Brunei Malay.

Brunei has a population of 401,890 (2011).
